Verification of Competency - VOC - is an assessment that assists employers to meet OHS/WHS requirements and ensure the operator is competent to operate the plant & equipment or perform a task.
The employer has a greater importance, due diligence and obligation to ensure the individual has “Current Competency” as stated in the OHS/WHS harmonisation laws, effective January 2012.
Assessing the individual with a “Verification of Competency - VOC” enables businesses to confirm that the employee is currently competent in their skill sets using the plant & equipment or task. Also a verification of competency - VOC - is commonly used in most industries for pre-employment checks, contractual arrangements and site requirements.
Insurance requirements and employers require evidence that your skills are current, which is validated through the Verification of Competency VOC process.
